We saw this and asked: what if those empty seats could connect people?
Qaimo Sawari is a peer-to-peer carpooling platform built for the daily commuter in Pakistan.
It is not a taxi app. It is not a ride-hailing service. It is something more personal than that.
We connect car and bike owners who are already making a daily commute with passengers travelling the same route — so that the journey becomes shared, the cost becomes shared, and the road becomes a little less crowded.
No haggling. No cash exchanges on the street. No guesswork.
The word Qaimo comes from the Arabic and Urdu root قائم — meaning steadfast, upright, and always operational.
We chose that name deliberately. In a platform where strangers share a vehicle every day, trust is not a feature — it is the foundation. Every design decision we make is filtered through one question: does this make the platform safer and more trustworthy for our users?
That is why we verify identity documents. That is why we have clear community guidelines. That is why owners cannot set arbitrary fares. That is why billing is attendance-based, not pre-payment.

Qaimo was founded in Lahore by a solo engineer and entrepreneur who was tired of seeing the same problem go unsolved. The idea started with a simple observation: carpooling is common in Pakistan — colleagues pick each other up, neighbours share rides — but it happens informally, through WhatsApp groups and word of mouth. There was no trusted platform for it.
We set out to build that platform. Properly. With real verification, fair pricing, and technology that gets out of the way and lets people commute together.
Qaimo Sawari is the result.
